Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikolay Pavlov received copies of the letters of credence of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Bulgaria, H.E. Ambassador Listiana Operananta.
During the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to further develop bilateral relations across a wide range of areas of mutual interest. Trade and economic exchange, investment cooperation, tourism and collaboration in the field of education were highlighted as particularly promising sectors, among other topics of mutual interest.
The importance of cooperation between Bulgaria and Indonesia within multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations and the EU–ASEAN Strategic Partnership was also underlined. The two sides additionally discussed mutual support for candidacies in international organisations.
