Minister Georg Georgiev Participates in Informal Foreign Affairs Council in Lviv

Today, on Europe Day – 9 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev visited Lviv together with his counterparts from the EU Member States, where he took part in the informal meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council. The foreign ministers of the European countries visited Ukraine in a demonstration of the EU's unwavering support and solidarity with Kyiv.
The ministers discussed the continuation of assistance to Ukraine, as well as preparations for the upcoming ministerial meeting of the Coalition of Countries advocating for the establishment of a Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine, seen as an important political step. After more than two years of coordinated efforts and the finalisation of key draft legal instruments, the high-level meeting marked the political beginning of the process of establishing a Special Tribunal and once again reaffirmed the commitment of the participating states to ensure that those responsible for the crime of aggression in Ukraine are held accountable.
