Minister Kondov received Ljupco Georgievski at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On 13 November 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Kondov received Ljupco Georgievski, chairman of the Ivan Mihaylov Bulgarian Culture Club in Bitola, which was closed by the authorities in the Republic of North Macedonia. The current state of the rights of the Bulgarian community in the Republic of North Macedonia was discussed at the meeting.
Minister Kondov reaffirmed on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and on his own behalf the commitment to the Bulgarians in our neighbouring country. It was underlined that the authorities in Skopje should implement the European agreements for the inclusion of Bulgarians in the constitution of the Republic of North Macedonia, which will open the way to the EU for the country.
In turn, Ljupco Georgievski thanked for the continued commitment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the problems of the Bulgarians in the Republic of North Macedonia.
It was agreed that the dialogue should be regular.
