Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Elena Shekerletova accepted the copies of the credentials of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Bulgaria (based in Bucharest) H. E. Dao Vibulpanich.
The talks marked the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Thailand, which we are celebrating this year, and the two sides expressed their readiness to further develop bilateral relations in a wide range of areas. Trade, economic and investment exchange, tourism, cooperation in the academic and research fields, etc. were identified as promising.
The importance of the cooperation between Bulgaria and Thailand in multilateral formats such as the UN, the EU-ASEAN Strategic Partnership, etc. was also underlined during the meeting. Mutual support for candidacies in international organizations was also discussed.
