Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria Ivan Kondov with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the State of Libya Taher Al-Baour

On the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the State of Libya, Taher Al-Baour. Minister Kondov informed his counterpart that Bulgaria regards the State of Libya as a traditional and long-standing partner in the North African region, with a serious potential for expanding mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation.
The two ministers expressed their countries' interest in intensifying the bilateral dialogue and signed a Memorandum for regular political consultations, which provides an excellent opportunity for its intensification and for maintaining a regular exchange of views on topical foreign policy issues.
