In regard to the attack on the French Embassy in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson said:

“Bulgaria categorically condemns this act of terrorism, in which two people were injured. We call on the Libyan authorities to make every effort to apprehend the culprits and bring them to court.
"We express our solidarity with the efforts of the government and people of Libya to implement a successful democratic transition that would ensure peace and stability in the country and guarantee human rights and the rule of law.
“Bulgaria once again underlines its determination to support all forces and resources combating terrorism, which is one of the most serious threats to peace and security in the world.”
