Mariya Gabriel at meeting in Davos with Foreign Ministers Dmytro Kuleba and Lord David Cameron

Highlight of the agenda of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel in Davos was her meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and with the UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs Lord David Cameron.

The meeting discussed the assistance to Ukraine and the challenges facing the country.

‘Bulgaria will continue to defend its consistent position in support of Ukraine. With the efforts of the three parliamentary groups GERB-CDF, PP-DB and DPS a number of important decisions were adopted. Today we are again sending a message of united efforts to tackle the challenges’, Mariya Gabriel stated.

During the meeting with Lord Cameron the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and the United Kingdom and the signed joint declaration were also discussed. The discussion also focused on ongoing action to combat illegal migration, innovation and the possibility of partnering within the EU's Horizon Europe programme which is the world's largest for science and innovation.
