Minister Nikolay Milkov met with the Ambassador of Austria

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikolay Milkov, today received the Ambassador of Austria to our country, Andrea Vike, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Emphasis in the meeting was placed on the traditionally friendly bilateral relations. A detailed review was also made of the contribution of Ambassador Andrea Vicke, who will soon leave Bulgaria for good, to the activation of the partnership between the two countries in all areas of mutual interest during her mandate.
The possibilities for expanding trade and economic cooperation were discussed, as well as the national priorities for joining the Schengen area, the Eurozone and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, where Austria's support is highly valued. The continuation of assistance for the European integration of the Western Balkans region was defined as an important goal for both countries.
