The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is going to create a mobile application to help Bulgarians abroad

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria is starting work on creating a mobile application to help Bulgarian citizens abroad.
It will provide real-time information about risks when traveling abroad and will help to quickly connect with the Crisis Management Center at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria. The app will provide also a possibility to submit a signal for assistance or evacuation of Bulgarian citizens affected by disasters abroad.
The App will be created in a partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway under the project "Completion and equipment of the Crisis Management Center in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria" and on the basis of the long-term experience of Norway in the field.
During the next 21 months, when the project will be implemented, other joint activities with the Norwegian side are planned. Among them there are seminars for exchange of experience in managing and dealing with various crises, improving knowledge of response to crises, emergencies, evacuations, etc.
The project "Completion and equipment of the crisis management center in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria" is financed by the Fund for Bilateral Relations under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism (2014 - 2021).
