Minister Svetlan Stoev welcomed the participants in a business seminar dedicated to 65 years of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Indonesia

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Svetlan Stoev made a video greeting at the opening of an online business seminar on Strengthening the Economic Partnership between Bulgaria and Indonesia. The event was dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Indonesia, which we celebrate in 2021.

The organizers of the seminar are the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Republic of Indonesia and the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of both countries - BCCI and KADIN.

In his message, Minister Svetlan Stoev praised the friendly relations between the two countries and stressed the role of Indonesia as an important partner of our country in the dynamic region of Southeast Asia, including multilateral formats such as the UN, the EU-ASEAN Strategic Partnership and the ASEM Forum. Minister Stoev expressed the desire of the Bulgarian side to strengthen contacts and exchanges with Indonesia in a wide range of areas, emphasizing the importance and potential of cooperation in the trade and economic sphere.

A special greeting was also given by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia Rutno Marsudi. The event was opened with messages from the Minister of Trade of Indonesia Muhammad Lutfi and on behalf of the Minister of Economy of Bulgaria Daniela Vezieva. The opening of the online seminar was attended by the presidents of the Bulgarian and Indonesian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, representatives of ministries, associations and over 270 companies from both countries.
