Minister Stoev received the Ambassador of the State of Qatar

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Svetlan Stoev discussed the strengthening of relations between Bulgaria and Qatar in all areas of mutual interest with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar Rashid Ali Al-Hatter, whom he received at a farewell meeting in connection with the end of his term.
During the conversation, the bilateral relations were highly praised, accompanied by numerous high-ranking visits in recent years, including the two meetings between the Emir of Qatar and the President of Bulgaria.
"Bulgaria appreciates your commitment to strengthening bilateral relations over the past five years. We consider the State of Qatar as one of our most important partners in the Gulf region, "said Foreign Minister Svetlan Stoev.
Bulgaria's readiness to invest in the cooperation with Qatar in all areas of mutual interest, including defense, counter-terrorism, economy, information technology, energy, tourism and others, was confirmed.
Ambassador Al-Hatter repeatedly emphasized his warm feelings for Bulgaria, which he defined as a second home for his family.
