Government Approves Extension of Project for Children with Disabilities in Armenia

The government approved a draft amendment to an agreement on the provision of a voluntary special-purpose contribution between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UNICEF.
The Toward Social Inclusion of Vulnerable Children: Expanding Alternative project was signed on 29 March 2019 and stands at USD 125 000. It was approved for funding by Decision of the Council of Ministers No. 119 of 1 March 2019.
This agreement will be extended by six months and additional measures will be approved in response to the situation brought about by the COVID-19 epidemic. The funds will be used to provide sanitation and educational material, as well as information about COVID-19.
