US Ambassador Eric Rubin Pays Farewell Call on Ekaterina Zaharieva

Deputy Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva received US Ambassador Eric Rubin in connection with the completion of his tour of duty in this country.
The two discussed the excellent bilateral relationship and the opportunities for its deepening in future.
“The three years of your ambassadorship were particularly fruitful for the contacts between the two countries. We achieved a lot but, certainly, we can do even better,” Minister Zaharieva said.
“I would like to return home but it is hard to leave Bulgaria,” Ambassador Rubin said. He thanked Deputy Prime Minister Zaharieva for the good teamwork and stressed that the accessibility of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as of other institutions in this country, had been particularly important for the furtherance of the vibrant relationship between Bulgaria and the US.
Minister Zaharieva emphasised that, in the person of Ambassador Rubin, Bulgaria has one more friend in the US.
