Reception marks Bulgaria’s National Day in Zagreb

The National Day of Bulgaria was celebrated in the grand ballroom of the Dverce Palace in Zagreb on the 6th of March this year. The Embassy gave a reception which was attended by government officials, members of parliament and the presidential administration, heads of diplomatic missions in Zagreb,members of the business community and the central and local administration, representatives of academic, cultural and public organizations, and members of the Bulgarian community in Croatia.
Ambassador Tanya Dimitrova conferred honorary diplomas upon Academician Pavao Rudan, General Secretary of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts; Stjepan Sučić, Vice President of the Matica Hrvatska society; Rashko Ivanov, President of the Bulgarian National Minority in Croatia; and Diana Glasnova, the editor-in-chief of the Rodna Rech (Mother Tongue) Bulgarian-language magazine published in Zagreb. The diplomas were a token of appreciation for their successful collaboration with the Bulgarian Embassy in Zagreb and their valuable contribution to the dynamically developing bilateral cooperation between Bulgaria and Croatia in the area of culture and education.
