Ekaterina Zaharieva held bilateral meetings in Dubrovnik

Deputy Prime Minister for Judicial Reform and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva conferred today with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Aleksey Meshkov. Their meeting took place in Dubrovnik, where Mrs Zaharieva participated in the South-East Europe Cooperation Process Summit.

An emphasis was laid on the increase of two-way trade, tourist visits and investments. The Bulgarian side expressed support for the holding of a session of the Mixed Commission on Economic Cooperation in 2017. The Russian side confirmed the good climate in bilateral relations which has evolved after the talks between the Bulgarian Prime Minister and the Russian President. The sides agreed on the existence of a potential for the development of bilateral relations.

Within the framework of the forum, Bulgaria’s chief diplomat conferred with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo Enver Hoxhaj, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia Marija Burić, and with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia Nikola Dimitrov.
