Travel warning for Egypt

As a result of the bomb attacks on 24 January 2014, targeting objects of the Interior Ministry in Cairo, five people were killed and more than 70 injured. At this time, there is no information at the MFA about wounded Bulgarian citizens.

The situation in the country remains tense, as for today, 25 January, there are planned mass demonstrations and protests.

MFA once again calls the citizens to strictly follow the reports on the current situation on the ground and not to take trips to the affected areas in the country.

Bulgarian citizens can seek assistance from the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Cairo if necessary.
