To the attention of the Bulgarian citizens traveling to Indonesia
21 November 2013According to the information from the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Jakarta, the eruption of the Sinabung Volcano, North Sumatra, continues.
The Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation Center (PVMBG) informed that the alert status of the volcano is at the second-highest threat level. Nine sub-districts and villages that are located on the mountain slopes will be evacuated.
In connection with the complicated situation, MFA calls on Bulgarian citizens, staying in the region, to avoid visits also to the volcanoes of Rokatenda Mountain in the province of East Nusa Tenggara , Ibu Mountain in Halmahera ( Maluku ), Mount Lokon and Karangetang in the province of North Sumatra, until the volcanic activity stops.
