Warning to travellers in Turkey

In connection with the ongoing protests in Turkey, the Bulgarian Consulate-General in Istanbul recommends that Bulgarian citizens visiting the city avoid the area of Taksim Square and the central part of the Beşiktaş and Beyoğlu neighbourhoods as well as places where many people congregate.

Currently, the Consulate-General in Istanbul has no information that Bulgarian citizens have been injured in clashes between protesters and police.
