Bulgarian citizens should leave Syria

The situation in Syria is very risky, and for this reason the Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly recommends that Bulgarian citizens refrain from travelling within the country.
We recommend that Bulgarians living in or visiting Syria use the opportunities available to leave the country on civilian flights, which could be significantly limited given the worsening situation.
We recommend that Bulgarians living in or visiting should not visit public places and should, for their own safety, avoid contact with the protesters.
Bulgarian citizens are advised to contact the Bulgarian Embassy in Damascus to provide their contact information.
