The government will support a joint project of the Bulgarian and the Macedonian Red Cross

At the proposal of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Kristian Vigenin, the Council of Ministers adopted at its meeting today in Lovech a Decree for funding a project of the Bulgarian and the Macedonian Red Cross. The project aims to develop the capacity of MRC for organizing the work in the field of water rescue, safety of the water basins in the Republic of Macedonia and improving the regulations. Its funding will be provided under the official development assistance.
The project contributes to the development of good neighborly relations with Macedonia, while complying with the aims and objectives of the medium-term strategy for development cooperatuion and humanitarian assistance. It is prepared by the BRC in cooperation with the MRC. Its realization is an affirmation of the commitment of Bulgaria in the field of international development cooperation and a prerequisite for the developing partnership with the Republic of Macedonia in 2014.
