Ambassador Mitreva presented her credentials to King Harald V of Norway

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Oslo Roumiana Mitreva presented her credentials to King Harald V of Norway. The ceremony was held on 8 May 2014.
During the brief audience with the King of Norway after the ceremony, both sides expressed satisfaction with the traditionally good bilateral relations.
Ambassador Mitreva underlined the excellent cooperation within international organizations and expressed gratitude for the Norwegian support for Irina Bokova’s candidature for second term as UNESCO Director General. For his part, King Harald V expressed concern about the events in Ukraine and emphasized the importance of utilizing all possible diplomatic means for de-escalation of the tensions.
During the meeting they discussed also the opportunities that Bulgaria offers for development of tourism and the two sides confirmed their intention to continue and build on the achievements so far in the priority for both areas.
