Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova participated in the state ceremony to welcome the mortal remains of Tsar Samuil in Sofia. The solemn event took place in Knyaz Aleksandar I Square.
Minister Petrova also took part in the procession to the St. Sofia Church, where the mortal remains of the Bulgarian ruler were placed in a special sarcophagus.
Their return to Bulgaria is the result of many years of consistent efforts of Bulgarian diplomacy. The achievement of this historic success under Rumen Radev's government is an expression of mutual trust and opens a new page in the strategic relations between Bulgaria and Greece.
