Deputy Minister Hristo Polenakov Meets with Mr Vasco Mushe Samupofu, Ambassador of the Republic of Namibia

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Hristo Polenakov today received Vasco Mushe Samupofu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Namibia to the Republic of Bulgaria, resident in Vienna, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the two discussed opportunities for deepening the political dialogue between Bulgaria and Namibia, as well as prospects for expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Particular emphasis was placed on education, economic and cultural ties, and the potential for developing trade and technological cooperation, including in the fields of energy technologies, fuel processing and mining.
Deputy Minister Polenakov and Ambassador Samupofu also exchanged views on current international issues and highlighted the importance of constructive partnership within international organisations.
The two sides reaffirmed their readiness to work towards strengthening bilateral relations and implementing new initiatives aimed at enhancing cooperation between Bulgaria and Namibia. The meeting was also attended by Mihail Mihaylov, Honorary Consul of Namibia in Bulgaria.
