Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova Meets Kosovo Counterpart Glauk Konjufca
10 June 2026 NewsMinister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova held a bilateral meeting with the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), which is being held today in Sofia.
Minister Petrova reaffirmed Bulgaria’s consistent support for Kosovo’s European integration, underlining that the country can continue to rely on Bulgaria both on its path towards membership of the European Union and in its efforts to join the Council of Europe.
The two top diplomats noted the excellent political dialogue between Bulgaria and Kosovo and reaffirmed their readiness to further deepen bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
In this context, Minister Petrova stressed that a visit at prime ministerial level following the formation of Kosovo’s next regular government would provide fresh impetus to bilateral cooperation.
