UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova has sent a letter of congratulations to Kristian Vigenin on his election to the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs. "On behalf of UNESCO and on my own behalf, I wish to offer my sincere congratulations and best wishes for success in the challenges that await you," Irina Bokova said.
“The Republic of Bulgaria is an important partner for UNESCO and firmly committed to the objectives of international cooperation and development," the congratulatory letter from the Director General of UNESCO said. Irina Bokova expressed her deep appreciation for the active role of Bulgaria in the activities of the organisation. "I am confident that with your support this fruitful co-operation will be further strengthened," the letter to Foreign Minister Kristian Vigenin said.
