The Coordination Center at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Held Its Latest Meeting

On June 16, 2025, a regular meeting of the Coordination Center, established in response to the ongoing tensions in the Middle East, was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was chaired by Minister Georg Georgiev and attended by representatives of the Ministry, as well as Bulgarian diplomats from missions in countries across the Middle East.
During the meeting, the current situation in the region, potential security risks, and necessary measures to protect Bulgarian citizens and diplomatic missions were discussed. The Coordination Center reaffirmed its readiness to respond promptly in the event of an escalation and adopted specific steps to improve information exchange between institutions.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is monitoring developments in the region in real time and remains in constant contact with partner countries and international organizations.
