Meeting between Minister Georg Georgiev and the Ambassador of Japan to Bulgaria Hisashi Michigami

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Georg Georgiev, today received the Ambassador of Japan to Bulgaria, Hisashi Michigami, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Minister Georgiev discussed with Ambassador Michigami the excellent state of the political dialogue between our two countries and the opportunities for further development and enhancement of bilateral relations in traditional areas such as trade and investment cooperation, education, science and technology, energy, tourism and culture in the context of modern realities.
The two also discussed the ongoing World Expo 2025 in Osaka. Georg Georgiev extended his congratulations on its successful opening and expressed his expectation that Bulgaria's participation would offer new opportunities for the development of economic cooperation between our countries and would contribute to increasing the visibility of our country among the Japanese public and business community.
