Mariya Gabriel: Women are power, energy, wealth

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel and the women ambassadors in Bulgaria invited the winners of the ‘Women and Diplomacy — Ambassador for a Day’ competition to celebrate 8 March together.
The initiative was fully organized by the young girls who shared their impressions and managed to make all the attendees feel like part of a community united by the cause of women's rights.
‘Thanks to H. E. Andrea Ikić-Böhm, Ambassador of Austria to Bulgaria, and to all the women ambassadors for their energy and dedication to the cause of more young people in international relations. Women are power, energy and wealth’, Mariya Gabriel said.
In her speech, she focused on foreign policy, which needs greater female representation not only to make a valuable contribution, but also to serve as a role model for young girls and women around the world.
‘Together we sent a strong message to all talented young women that we need their creativity and critical thinking to successfully overcome the challenges in Bulgaria, Europe and the world,’ the Deputy Prime Minister concluded.
