UK Foreign Secretary Lord David Cameron arrives on a working visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel

On 14 February Lord David Cameron, Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, will pay a working visit to Bulgaria.  The visit takes place at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel in the context of the enhanced political dialogue between the two countries in the last half a year.

During Deputy Prime Minister Mariya Gabriel's visit to London in October 2023, a Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership between Bulgaria and the United Kingdom was signed. In January 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Mariya Gabriel and Lord Cameron held a meeting in the framework of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Lord Cameron's visit to Bulgaria is planned to start with a working meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Mariya Gabriel. Topics on the bilateral and international agenda will be discussed.

At 10.30 a.m. at the Council of Ministers a joint statement to the media by Deputy Prime Minister Mariya Gabriel, Lord David Cameron and Prime Minister Acad. Nikolay Denkov. Is planned.

The programme of the visit of the UK Foreign Secretary to Bulgaria also includes meetings with representatives of the executive and legislative authorities.
