Mariya Gabriel: We support Bulgarian Sunday schools and are proud of the talent in them
31 January 2024 NewsDeputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel and Minister of Education and Science Galin Tsokov announced a new initiative - more than 300 computer configurations will be provided to Bulgarian Sunday schools abroad. The campaign is the idea of Mariya Gabriel and aims to contribute to the renewal of the technical base and support the development of digital skills of students.
‘Together with the Ministry of Education and Science, we are sending a strong message of our care and support for the children of our compatriots abroad and their teachers. The computer configurations will not only serve to increase technical capacity but also support the development of new skills. These skills will allow them to be worthy citizens of Bulgaria, Europe and the world,’ the Deputy Prime Minister said.
For his part, the Minister of Education and Science Galin Tsokov commented that ‘these computer configurations are another link for children with Bulgarian history and geography. The aim of the initiative is to make our compatriots feel that Bulgaria supports them with concrete activities.’
Computer configurations will be provided for Bulgarian Sunday schools in over 30 countries: Austria, Brazil, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Greece, Greece, Israel, Spain, Italy, Jordan, China, Cyprus, Kuwait, Malta, Morocco, Moldova, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, United Arab Emirates, Poland, Portugal, North Macedonia, Republic of South Africa, Romania, USA, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary, Croatia and Switzerland.
