Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maria Gabriel is in Kiev, where she will take part in the EU foreign ministers' meeting. EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell announced the meeting on social media, describing it as "historic" and an expression of "solidarity" with Ukraine.
"I am gathering EU foreign ministers in Kiev today for the first ever meeting of all 27 non-EU member states", Borel wrote.
"Ukraine's future is in the EU", he added.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba welcomes today's first meeting of his European counterparts in Kiev.
Prior to the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Maria Gabriel participated in the wreath-laying ceremony at the Wall in memory of those who died for Ukraine.
