On the sidelines of the NATO Foreign Ministers' Meeting, Minister Nikolay Milkov held a bilateral meeting with Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Yoshimasa Hayashi, where they discussed opportunities for building a strategic partnership between the two countries.
The Ministers highlighted the excellent bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Japan, the implementation of an active dialogue and cooperation in the Western Balkans.
They shared their concerns about the deteriorating security environment and the challenges to the international legal order.
They discussed deepening economic cooperation, with the Japanese side expressing interest in Bulgaria's development opportunities in the field of information technology, new technologies, green hydrogen, disaster and emergency response.
