In connection with the serious accident on the Trakia highway, where a bus from the Republic of Serbia overturned, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that it is in contact with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as with the authorities of the neighbouring country. The Ministry has also informed the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Bulgaria about the case.
The victims are receiving the necessary medical care and none of them are in danger of life.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikolay Milkov, spoke by phone with the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Nikola Selaković, regarding the serious accident. Minister Milkov expressed hope for a speedy recovery of the injured and assured his Serbian colleague that our country will provide full assistance in the investigation of the road accident, as well as in providing assistance to the injured.
A visit of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the victims is planned tomorrow, in order to specify the subsequent actions of the Bulgarian side in connection with their recovery.
