Russia declared Bulgarian diplomats and technical staff persona non grata

The Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in Moscow Atanas Krastin was invited to a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation today, where he was informed that four Bulgarian diplomats and ten technical staff from our diplomatic representations in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg, as well as from the Industry Centre of the Republic of Bulgaria in Moscow have been declared persona non grata. They should leave the country within 120 hours.
The Russian side has informed that it is taking this measure in response to the decision of the Bulgarian side from 28.06.2022 to reduce the number of staff at Russian representations in our country in connection with actions incompatible with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
