Deputy Minister Georgiev accepted copies of credentials of the Ambassador of the state of Libya

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vasil Georgiev, accepted copies of the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Libya in Sofia, Abu Bakr Ahmad Said Salih. During the meeting, the two discussed the potential for the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
Deputy Minister Georgiev congratulated Ambassador Salih on the appointment and expressed hope for the normalization of the situation in Libya, as well as the holding of fair, free and inclusive presidential and parliamentary elections, which will be the basis for developing the full potential of the country and its people.
Ambassador Salih confirmed the desire of the Libyan country to deepen economic cooperation with Bulgaria in sectors such as energy, exchange of qualified specialists and infrastructure projects.
