Deputy Minister Petrova talks with Prof. Slim Kalbus, Rector of the University Agency of Francophonie (UAF)

Deputy Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova met today, 18 March, with Professor Slim Kalbus, Rector of the University Agency of the Francophonie. The meeting took place during the week of the Francophonie and just before the celebration of March 20 - the International Day of the Francophonie.
The two interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the excellent long-term cooperation and stressed the readiness to deepen it through specific projects in the field of higher education, academic exchange, scientific diplomacy, and professional realization of Francophone staff in Bulgaria.
The Bulgarian side pointed out that participation in the Francophonie is a political priority due to the links in the field of language, science, and culture, as well as belonging to a community based on shared values and interests.
During his visit to Sofia, Professor Kalbus will present the diplomas of the 2020 and 2021 alumni to the Specialized Institute of Francophonie for Administration and Management and will hold a number of meetings with Bulgarian agencies involved in the Francophonie.
