Deputy Minister Petrova welcomed the Deputy Minister of Public Diplomacy of the Republic of Korea

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova welcomed Deputy Minister of Public Diplomacy of the Republic of Korea Lee Sang-hwa. The two discussed excellent bilateral relations, opportunities for intensifying political dialogue and economic ties, as well as mutually beneficial co-operation in the fields of culture, science and education.

We are ready to work so as to achieve relations at the level of strategic partnership, said Deputy Minister Velislava Petrova. She also pointed out that over the years the two countries have built excellent relations in both bilateral and multilateral formats. In addition, Deputy Minister Petrova expressed the desire of the Bulgarian side to attract Korean investment in our country.

During the conversation, the two sides also discussed issues of co-operation in international organizations, including UNESCO and mutual support for applications, as well as the situation on the Korean Peninsula and the crisis in Ukraine.

The two Deputy Ministers expressed their satisfaction with the forthcoming signing of the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Education and Culture between the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Government of the Republic of Korea.

Deputy Minister Velislava Petrova and Deputy Minister Lee Sang-hwa agree to hold political consultations at the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs level.
