The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Ambassador Konstantin Dimitrov, presented his credentials to the Director General of the Organization, Ambassador Fernando Arias. The official ceremony took place on February 2, 2022 at the OPCW headquarters in The Hague.

The two diplomats confirmed the excellent state of cooperation between the Republic of Bulgaria and the OPCW, as evidenced by the election of our country for the second time in five years as a member of the Executive Board of the organization for the period May 2022 - May 2024. Opinions were exchanged on the priorities of the OPCW this year, as well as on the further successful implementation of its mandate and the implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention.
