Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodora Genchovska took part in a video conference with French Minister of Foreign Affairs -Yves Le Drian in the "Bucharest 9" Format

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodora Genchovska took part in a videoconference conversation between the Foreign Ministers of the Bucharest 9 (B9) Format and their French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian.

In the context of tensions over Ukraine, our Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the need for a united response from the allies, as well as close cooperation with partners in the region. She expressed support for ongoing diplomatic efforts to persuade Russia to take de-escalation measures and stressed that strengthening NATO's eastern flank must be a priority in the current situation.

In her speech, Minister Genchovska welcomed the initiative of the Polish OSCE Chairmanship for an active dialogue on European security issues within the organization.

The meeting, organized at the invitation of Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Bogdan Aurescu, was also attended by Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba. During the conversation with him, the Foreign Ministers of the Bucharest 9 (B9) Format reaffirmed their strong support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
