Foreign Minister Svetlan Stoev talked by phone with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu

Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Svetlan Stoev held a telephone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu at the initiative of the Turkish side.

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey congratulated the newly elected President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev and expressed hope for the formation of a regular government in our country soon. The Turkish side expressed confidence in continuing the fruitful and meaningful dialogue with the Republic of Bulgaria on a bilateral and multilateral level. It was proposed that the two ministers hold bilateral meetings at the upcoming international forums at the level of OSCE and NATO foreign ministers.

 

Minister Svetlan Stoev thanked and undertook to convey to the newly elected President the congratulations sent by the Turkish side. He expressed confidence that bilateral relations with the Republic of Turkey would continue to develop in the traditional spirit of friendship, good neighbourliness and mutual respect.
