Deputy Minister Dinkova congratulates the International Relations Department of at UNWE on the occasion of its 45th anniversary

Deputy Foreign Minister Zaritsa Dinkova congratulated the Department of International Relations at the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) on its 45th anniversary. The event was marked with a scientific conference on "45 years of the Department of International Relations at UNWE: continuity and development in the study of international relations and processes in Europe."

"I am a graduate of this department and it is very exciting for me to express my congratulations on the occasion of the 45th anniversary," said in her greeting Deputy Minister Dinkova.

She pointed out that this day is also a holiday for the Bulgarian diplomatic community, because here, for the first time in Bulgaria, the foundations of specialized training in the field of international relations have been laid and it has its historical significance. "The Department of International Relations has gained a well-deserved authority, both among students and among Bulgarian diplomacy. The achievements are not small and provide a solid basis for future development and success", Zaritsa Dinkova said.

The Rector of UNWE Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov welcomed the participants in the conference and stressed the importance of this anniversary. He pointed out to those present that many Bulgarian diplomats and ministers are graduates of the Department of International Relations and noted that it prepares the diplomatic elite of Bulgaria. "International Relations students are very motivated, very well prepared and continue the traditions of their predecessors", he said.

The solemn event was attended by the Head of the Department of International Relations Assoc. Prof. Dr. Plamen Ralchev, the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of International Economics and Politics Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elizabeth Yoneva and the Chairman of the Sofia Security Forum Mr. Yordan Bozhilov.
