Ambassador Todor Kanchevski presented his credentials to the President of Republic of Cuba

On 8th September 2021, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Bulgaria to Republic of Cuba presented his credentials to the President of Republic of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla.
The conversation focused on the good state of bilateral relations, which have a history of over 60 years. The friendly relations and mutual respect between the two peoples were emphasized and the possibilities for deepening the interaction between the two countries in all spheres of mutual interest were discussed.
President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez noted the existence of sufficient conditions for further development of relations between Bulgaria and Cuba. He stressed that many Cuban citizens have graduated their higher education in Bulgaria and today have the will and opportunity to help give a new impetus to cooperation. He expressed readiness to intensify the dialogue at all levels and to make progress in all areas of mutual interest.
Ambassador Todor Kanchevski shared his desire to work for a more intensive political dialogue and the development of contacts between the two countries, which would contribute to the achievement of significant progress in bilateral cooperation.
Along with Ambassador Kanchevski, the ambassadors of the European Union, Belgium, Romania, Saudi Arabia, India, Cape Verde, Ghana, Uruguay, Belarus and East Timor also presented their credentials.
