Armenia Expresses Gratitude for Humanitarian Assistance against Coronavirus

20 July 2020 News

Armenia thanked the Bulgarian people and the Bulgarian government for the humanitarian assistance against the coronavirus provided.

“The Ministry of Health of Armenia hereby expresses its sincere gratitude to the government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Bulgarian people for our long-lasting and fruitful cooperation and for the generous support for Armenia in the fight against the pandemic,” reads a letter from Anait Avanesyan, First Deputy Minister of Health of Armenia, to our Ambassador in Yerevan, Maria Pavlova-Tsotsorkova.

Deputy Minister Avanesyan also thanked the Bulgarian Embassy for its efforts and invaluable support for Armenia’s efforts in the fight against the coronavirus.

In early June, Ambassador Maria Pavlova-Tsotsorkova presented the Armenian Ministry of Health with 500 sets of medical consumables: specialized protective clothing, helmets and goggles, which are meant for Armenian medics on the frontline in the fight against the coronavirus.

The aid was funded from the allocation for official Bulgarian development assistance.
