Bulgaria Opens Honorary Consulate in Sri Lanka

The government has adopted a decision on the opening of a Bulgarian honorary consulate in Sri Lanka. Its seat will be in Colombo and its area of operation will cover the territory of the entire country. Andre Milee Eristus Fernando will be appointed Honorary Consul.
The new honorary consulate is expected to contribute to stepping up the efficiency of the development of the relations between Bulgaria and Sri Lanka in areas such as trade, the economy, culture, consular cooperation, in providing information about Bulgaria and promoting contacts between the people.
The candidacy of Andre Milee Eristus Fernando for Honorary Consul is supported with recommendations by the Sri Lankan State Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Justice, Human Rights and Legal Reforms, and the Minister of Energy and the Minister of Power and Energy and Transport Services.
He owns a company that provides hospitality services, cargo transportation and logistics, aviation, maritime shipping, fishing, renewable energy, and strategic investments.
