Statement of MFA regarding the so-called parliamentary elections in Tskhinvali / South Ossetia region

Republic of Bulgaria upholds its principled position in full support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia within its internationally recognized borders and does not recognize the self-proclaimed so-called "Republic of Abkhazia" and "Republic of South Ossetia". In this context, the Republic of Bulgaria does not recognize the holding on June 9, 2019 of so-called parliamentary elections in Tskhinvali / South Ossetia region including their constitutional and legal framework and the results thereof.
