16 May 2019 News

The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Ukraine Kostadin Kodzhabashev presented his letters of credence to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. The ceremony took part on May 16 in the House with Chimeras of the presidential administration complex in Kiev.

In the conversation between them that followed, President Poroshenko greeted Ambassador Kodzhabashev with a ‘Welcome to Ukraine’ and wished him a successful tour of duty.

The Bulgarian Ambassador emphasized the deep roots of the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries, noted their stronger partnership in different areas of mutual interest and expressed confidence in the future positive development, deepening and broadening of bilateral relations in the best interest of both peoples.

The parties discussed some issues of the bilateral political dialog, the Bulgarian national minority in Ukraine, that country’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration and the ongoing reforms there.
