Switzerland’s decision to impose quotas for foreign workers is over-hasty

Bulgaria is concerned by the decision of the Swiss authorities to re-introduce quotas for foreign workers from eight European Union member states.
We regard this as a measure taken in haste, that does not conform to the principles of freedom of movement within the European Economic Area.
We are concerned that Switzerland decided to implement protective measures without first consulting its partners in the EU. We believe that solidarity is the only way to tackle the economic crisis.
