The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the rocket and mortar shelling by militant groups in the Gaza Strip against civilian targets in the territory of Israel and insists on its immediate cessation. The indiscriminate attacks harming civilians are completely unacceptable under any circumstances. We call for urgent action to de-escalate tensions, protect the civilian population, and create conditions for a resumption of the peace process.
