Bulgarians in Cyprus Honor Memory of Vasil Levski

Scores of our fellow nationals gathered on February 19 at the Bulgarian Embassy in Nicosia to pay homage to the immortal life cause of Vasil Levski. They laid flowers at the bas-relief plaque of the ‘Apostle’, while pupils from three Bulgarian schools on the island: the National Awakening School at Paralimni, the Nikola Vaptsarov School in Nicosia and the Eaves of Home School at Aradippou, recited poems honoring the ‘Dean’.
In his speech Ambassador Hristo Georgiev pointed out that we need to remember and honor the testament of Vasil Levski, which remains current and relevant to this day.
