The status of Jerusalem as a Holy city to the three monotheistic religions should be determined by the course of the Israeli-Palestine peace talks. They should come to a conclusion about the final status of the Palestine territories in the city.
Every change in the status of Jerusalem, that comes not as a result of the Israeli-Palestine peace negotiations, can have negative impact on the efforts for restoration of the peace in the Middle East.
As a member of the European Union Bulgaria stands with its regional and international partners, including the Middle East Quartet, as they make efforts for restoration of the peace negotiations on the principle of two states, living together peacefully and secure.
